What the scales tool covers

Choose a root and a scale type to see the exact notes, the interval formula, and the scale degrees — then hear it played. It covers the everyday scales and the colorful ones, so you can compare how a Dorian mode differs from natural minor by ear.

How you'll use it

Reach for it when learning a new scale, deciding what to play over a chord, or training your ear to recognize tonal color. It pairs directly with Coco's Ladder game, which turns scale recognition into daily practice.

FAQ

Common questions

Which scales are included?

Can I hear the scales?

Yes. Each scale plays back so you can connect the notes on screen to the actual sound.
